Happy Friday! This post is going to be the final one in this Weekly Peace Friday series on the blog. Have no fear, new and fun others will take its place no doubt. I always want to bring you guys the best, fresh content I have to offer, so I’m excited to see what replaces this one soon! So, in honor of the end of this series, I’m sharing a really important tip to help you live more peacefully. Because, well, that’s totally my thing.
Did you read the graphic up there? I mean it. Let GO of GUILT. I put it in all caps because I may need to re-read this post myself one day when I am feeling guilty about anything or possibly everything knowing me.
Do you ever feel guilty about something and not even really know why? I find myself feeling guilty about so many things and I have to catch myself and STOP. I have been known to feel guilty about things like asking for what I want, taking time to rest, letting someone else do something for me that I could do for myself, and I could go on forever.
I think we are just living in a time where we are all expected to do everything and be everything, all. the. time. Being busy has been glorified lately and I think it’s finally becoming a trend to not be busy and I love seeing people bring this up! Being busy doesn’t mean we are being our best selves or being productive. Sometimes resting because we’ve worked hard all day is the absolute best decision we can make.
So, if you find yourself feeling guilty about whatever it is that you’re NOT doing…DON’T. Give yourself time to rest, take a nap, let someone help you, do something fun, get dessert and enjoy it while not being in a rush, or whatever just feels good to you at the moment. You’ve worked hard enough this week. It’s Friday! Do something amazing for yourself this weekend and don’t you dare feel guilty about it.
