Today’s budget tip is super fun! It’s all about finding the simple things that make you happy and letting yourself have those things in a way that doesn’t break the bank.
Treat yourself in small ways. Think of the little things in life that just make you smile and feel like a kid again. Write a list of these little things.
Here are some examples of my favorites:
-Starbucks birthday cake pop
-Frozen yogurt with fun toppings
-Target Dollar Spot stationery items (especially those adorable sticky page flags)
-A scratch off ticket
-EOS lip balm
These are just some ideas that come to mind for me, but I’m sure you can make your own really fun list of little things that you enjoy! It’s amazing what giving yourself a $5 or less treat every now and then will do.
Being on a budget is a choice and something that works best when you commit to it. Your future self will thank you when you are financially secure and relaxed. In the meantime, have some fun and grab a treat that you won’t regret.

Those are my favorite! And so college friendly. 🙂 Another little treat I love is heading to Kroger or another local grocery store and looking at their flowers! A lot of times they’ll have beautiful little bunches for $5 or less, especially when certain blooms are in season!
